Stretching the Mind
“A mind once stretched by a new idea can never go back to its original dimensions.”
– Oliver Wendell Holmes
I am true health. I’m affirming and fortifying this first.
I am filled with beautiful creative new ideas!
When chronic fatigue sets in – I left out the ‘my’, because I don’t claim any ownership to this challenge any longer – and it has, I find it challenging to do the reads. Not only is the body fatigued, but the mind too. Life in general, at times can be an effort.
Having said that, my mind is so stretched with a whole host of new ideas, concepts, beliefs and perceptions, I could never go back to the old way of thinking. Even when chronic inflammation becomes challenging.
My mind is entrenched and ensconced in the new way of thinking. I am truly astounded at this.
When the challenge has lifted and it always does, I start my new habits again. Automatically. I feel the change in me. My mind is stretched to the new ideas of blueprint change.
The mental diet is many ‘start agains.’
So what?
What does that say? That I am failing at keeping positive happy thoughts continuously? I don’t view it that way. Like in scroll III, I persist until I succeed, I repeat my efforts over and over again.
I persist, I succeed!
Nothing will stop me from achieving this new stretched way of thinking. Nothing!
New habitual habits!
If one follows the weekly arduous honour requirements, the only thing that can happen is that the mind will create a new blueprint. One needs accountability. Either through the Master Key app, or with an accountability partner – being part of a Mastermind Alliance, or having a schedule of what to do on what day. Much like doing the weekly oats. Planning the week ahead becomes the working plan of action.
We read our smart goal service card daily as a reminder, which is our working plan of action, but if it’s not truly scheduled, will we remember to read for example, the press release three times a week?
I create a schedule, because I resonate with – if it’s not written, it’s not true.
The mind cannot be stretched if we are not performing the honour requirements.
My mind is stretched.
My desires are being met.
I can be what I will myself to be.

Another beautiful and inspiring blog, thank you Mark! I live in constant sleep deprivation and sometimes, as you say, life is an effort and mental diet isn’t happening. But we persist and we win 🙂
